Meanwhile, rehearsals for ‘LOVE DOLL PLAYING WITH THE BIG BOYS IN A DIFFERENT KIND OF SPACE’ have started. In this LOD production, Lies Pauwels, dancer Nicolas Vladyslav, performer and make-up artist Sam De Mol and two (ex-)choirboys, explore the expressive and transformative power of the body. Set to a composition by Frederik Neyrinck, performed live by four musicians from B'Rock Orchestra and saxophone player Bertel Schollaert.

On the 13th of October, Love Boulevard went in premiere!
at Berliner Ensembles Neues Haus.
In a co-operation project of sex workers from Berlin and members of Berliner Ensemble’s acting company, Lies Pauwels takes the body as her point of departure for a playful look behind our social facades: What and who is allowed to be seen? Whom and what do we condemn to invisibility? How openly or covertly do we deal with loneliness, desire, and fantasies of power and helplessness? And what do our physical yearnings say about us?
